Okay, this is a songfic. A songfic is when you combine a song, with a fiction. It's not rocket science.
You all know my stories have to have some character die in them
Disclaimer: I do not own Warriors or the song My Immortal.
My Immortal Graystripe and Silverstream
Heavy rain poured down. Graystripe sat on the riverbed. He looked over his shoulder to see Silverstream's grave. He looked away immediately. Why did she have to die?
I'm so tired of being here,
Suppressed by all of my childish fears.
And if you have to leave,
I wish that you would just leave.
Your presence still lingers here and it won't leave me alone.
Graystripe looked into the river. He jumped up when he saw the reflection of Silverstream in it, but it vanished.
Graystripe let out a cry of anguish and raced through the forest.
Images flooded into his mind of Silverstream's bloodied body.
These wounds won't seem to heal,
This pain is just too real,
There's just too much that time cannot erase.
Graystripe remembered lying next to Silverstream, when she was worried about having kits. He assured her everything would be alright.
Nothing went alright though.
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of you tears.
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of you fears.
And I held your hand through all of these years.
But you still have me.
Graystripe shook his head. There were so many memories…
He remembered the time when he had fallen into the river, who had saved him? Silverstream.
You used to captivate me by your resonating light.
Now, I'm bound by the life you left behind.
You're face; it haunts my once pleasant dreams.
You're voice; it chased away all the sanity in me.
Graystripe turned around. He needed to see his kits.
These wounds won't seem to heal,
This pain is just too real,
There's just too much that time cannot erase.
The gray tom looked down at the pitiful mewling kits and more memories of Silverstream came flooding back.
Graystripe looked down at Silverstream. "Is she alright?" He demanded.
Cinderpaw hung her head. "I lost her." She whispered.
"Silverstream?" Graystripe whispered hopefully. "Silverstream please, don't leave me!" There was no response. Graystripe tilted his head back. "No!" He yowled.
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears.
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears.
And I held your hand through all of these years.
But you still have me.
Graystripe looked up at Silverpelt and saw the face of Silverstream.
Everything has gone so wrong. He thought.
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone.
But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along.
Graystripe bent down and picked up one kit, Fireheart picked up the other.
Graystripe started off in the direction of the stepping stones.
"I'm so sorry." Fireheart murmured behind him.
Graystripe stopped. The stepping stones were right in front of him. He set the kit down.
He looked down at the little scrap, and realized he couldn't bear to part with his kits.
Mistyfoot of RiverClan walked over to him and took the kit Fireheart had.
Graystripe turned to Fireheart sadly. "I can't abandon my kits, they're all I have. I'm going with them."
Fireheart looked at Graystripe, too shocked to say anything.
Graystripe went across the stepping stones and looked back at his friend one last time. "Good bye Fireheart." He turned around and plunged into the reeds.
"Graystripe, no!" Was the last thing Graystripe heard Fireheart say.
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears.
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears.
And I held your hand through all of these years.
